Triumph & Disaster
The 64S are a UK-based rock band, which formed in October 2004. Known at first as Last Man Standing, they were determined to buck the trend of lacklustre, "landfill indie rock" music that still dominates the UK rock scene today. Over the past few years they have been doing this with abandon, pleasing crowds in and around their home town of St Albans and in London with their own blend of down and dirty riffs with memorable tunes, and performances of legendary intensity. Triumph & Disaster is the first recorded album from The 64S and, with it's fifteen tracks, documents their musical journey to date. This ranges from the playful and frivolous "Searching For You" and "She Said" to the harder-edged and darker "Anti Public" and "Falling Man". The 64S take diverse influences, embracing the best of US and UK alt-rock from the past decade and giving more than just a nod to the era of classic British rock. While The 64S know very well how to lay down a riff, what sets them apart is their range and use of light and shade. Any song from their catalogue may take you on a definitive journey through uplifting melody, chest-pounding aggression and haunting soulfulness. Enjoy!
