Description
'Never Trust A Happy Song' was produced by the band's own Ryan Rabin and comes on the heels of their acclaimed, self-titled EP released earlier this year.
The band is comprised of Brooklynite duo Christian Zucconi (vocals/guitar) and Hannah Hooper (keyboards/vocals), who met the three other members of the band (Sean Gadd- bass/vocals, Andrew Wessen - guitar/vocals and Ryan Rabin drums) at an art residency in Crete one fateful summer and haven't looked back since.
Grouplove's summer schedule is already packed with high profile appearances all over the world, beginning at the Glastonbury Festival along with T In the Park, Latitude and Reading and Leeds. They'll also be playing two consecutive nights at London's Barfly on June 27th and 28th. Other summer festival appearances include stops at Lollapalooza in Chicago and Outside Lands in San Francisco.
Heralded by NME as one of the "Best New Bands of 2010", Grouplove closed last year touring the US with The Joy Formidable and being handpicked to open a number of West Coast dates for Florence + The Machine. Since then, the band has been on the road nearly non-stop in support of their self-titled debut EP, released in January via Canvasback Music. Spin declared Grouplove "a band to watch in 2011" and called their track 'Colours' "one of the most infectious songs you're bound to hear". Following an extensive tour through Europe and a slate of standout performances at this year's SXSW, Grouplove co-headlined a sold-out cross country US tour with Foster The People.
