Comments about JA Rule - Pil2:

Wasn't a huge Ja Rule fan before but I'm loving this album, so glad I took notice of other reviews. At a time when hip hop is on the wane its good to hear new and original material. I have been listening to hip hop since 82 but their is a real lack of quality material out there so this album was really refreshing to hear. Hopefully this, along with Nas's latest, is a sign of the times that hip hop is maturing and no longer just about guns, money and [*]. Top album and proof that hip hop is not dead.

Comments about JA Rule - Pil2:

If you appreciate real, raw Hip-Hop then this album is recommended. Most of the songs are heart-felt and Ja's delivery is as gritty as when he started out in his Cash Money Click days.

This album had the potential to be big, but unfortunately it's not being as promoted as well as his previous albums.

Comments about JA Rule - Pil2:

Always been a fan of Ja in his glory days.
Fantastic Album by RULE. 5*. All tracks are listenable and can listen over and over. Production by 7 is class and lyrics are great. Ja has created a masterpiece album here and forget the past troubles which happened to the INC. and just listen to this album. All tracks can be related to and you can easily hear how he has put his heart into every track!
Better than all that mainstream rubbish out at the moment.
      Free Ja. :)

Comments about JA Rule - Pil2:

Before i start, im not one of ja's biggest fans. I didnt like how he went from grimey hip hop to rnb. Sure he has a great catalog of hits but i prefered him when he was solely hip hop.

This album is flawless. Lyrical content is there. He is not rapping about money and cars and guns that much. The album is the real deal. The only thing that could detract from the album is he has no stand out features BUT that dosent matter. Judging from the art work, skits and some of the lyrics. Ja wanted this album to fully focus on himself with no distractions.

Ja does straight hip hop on real life fantasy, believe and parachute. Those songs are awesome. Real life fantasy is about ja's fame and fortune and everything falling apart and going to prison. Parachute is about falling from fame. On these songs ja sounds the same as he did in 1999. Which was a nice reminiscence from the 'golden hip hop era'.

To the top, drown and black vodka are those smash hits what he does for the ladies. Theres a mix of everything in this album. Im shocked by the quality of the album overall.

To end this review i would say ja still has a place in hip hop aslong as he can keep bringing this level of qualty. Are we witnessing the greatest comeback in hip hop history? Impossibles nothing.
