Comments about SONY MUSIC AUSTRALIA Jack White - Blunderbuss:
This set of tunes show a maturity and diversity not always evident during his White Stripes days. Songs are fully crafted in contrast to the some of his previous work which were at times almost unfinished ideas. The backing here makes great use of violin and keyboards to add layers to the sound and increase the pleasure of listening over time.

Comments about SONY MUSIC AUSTRALIA Jack White - Blunderbuss:
This is a very good album. If you like The White Stripes, or Jack White's other side project, The Raconteurs, then you will love this album. The first few tracks lull you into a false sense of security on this album thinking that you're in for another typical rock fuelled Jack White album when it suddenly changes direction into a vast world of experimentation and intrigue. And that's exactly when the album comes into it's own and begins to show the sheer brilliance of this man. The blues element to this record to me really does define the roots of this extraordinary gifted artist. There are many great songs on here, 'Freedom at 21', 'Weep Themselves To Sleep', 'On And On And On' to name a few. There is also a fantastic rendition of Little Willie John's 'I'm Shakin', which really shakes like it came straight out of the 60's'.
I could go 'on and on and on' too, but the space here is limited. Blunderbuss is White's debut solo effort and was released on his own label Third Man Records. It has also received Grammy Award nominations for Album of the Year and Best Rock Album at the 2013 Grammy Awards, what more needs to be said. This is a must have album.

Comments about SONY MUSIC AUSTRALIA Jack White - Blunderbuss:
Jack White's 'Blunderbuss' shows the artist on fire. He has emerged, bruised and bleeding, from a troubled relationship and he is using his music as a form of cathartic release. Does all the best art come from anguish and pain? Well, on this evidence, it does. No one would wish this to happen to Jack White, but his emotional torment has been the well spring of a wonderful album. May he find true love, but continue to make superb records....

Comments about SONY MUSIC AUSTRALIA Jack White - Blunderbuss:
Best material from the ever so brilliant guitar guru Jack White yet. Having seen him live, I do however wish that the songs varied a little more than they do on Blunderbuss.
Raconteurs and Dead Weather were both admirable but less than successful experiments. With Blunderbuss, Jack White has found the direction he needs to go.

Comments about SONY MUSIC AUSTRALIA Jack White - Blunderbuss:
Jack White's prolific and restless nature always meant that his first solo album wasn't going to be quite like The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather or the lamented White Stripes, and it's gratifying to hear him continue to stretch himself while maintaining such a high standard of songwriting. It may be too varied for some tastes, but go with the flow and you'll be convinced.

Comments about SONY MUSIC AUSTRALIA Jack White - Blunderbuss:
Have to say I was really unimpressed with this album - despite all the great reviews it got it really didn't do anything for me. Not sure but maybe Jack Whit eis just a bit too overhyped sure he's had some godd stuff in the past but even then a lot of it's been hit or miss.
