Description
Internationally recognized yoga instructor Rodney Yee came to yoga from a career as a ballet dancer, and is now the co-director of the Piedmont Yoga Studio in Oakland, CA; his practice is based on the Iyengar method, but he relies also on his own intuition and experience to guide him. His teaching is augmented by a deep understanding of the essentials of each pose, as well as his articulate communication skills, and he has brought this excellence in teaching to over 20 videos and DVDs. In this instructional, Yee aids the viewer's progress to the intermediate level through an introduction to new, more demanding inverted poses and an exposition of how to get more out of familiar poses.

A great dvd for yoga practitioners looking to go further. Informative, expert commentary from renowned yogi Rodney Yee not only enables you to master the poses physically, but to understand the underlying intention and benefits of each pose. Interesting spread of asanas, including inversions, my favourite. These are challenging and not usually offered on dvd in this detail. Great also for advanced yogis looking for a home practice routine.
