Comments about Last of the Mohicans:
Fast-moving, epic love story - Brits v French v Americans v Hurons v Mohicans - somehow Daniel Day Lewis's Hawkeye (an American adopted by the Mohicans) has to keep himself and his beloved alive. Madeleine Stoew is the love interest and receiver of the line, "Stay alive. No matter what, stay alive. I will come back for you." She's worth it. He does. America never more beautiful, nor more savage in any other movie I've seen. Even though he is the last Mohican, Hawkeye is a hero for all ages.

Comments about Last of the Mohicans:
If you like historical film drama - you are gonna love this, guaranteed!
A really good film keeps you engaged whatever your general mood. A real good film from 1992 by director Michael Mann (he of the film, Heat). It stars Daniel Day-Lewis, one of the top actors who really gets into his roles in films, as he does here.
The only real slight disappointment is the DVD has no extras and this film probably is crying out for a documentary about the French/Indian War in the United States during the 19th century. Overall though, it's a great price for a great film and I was not disappointed.
