FFO: Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and The Donnas. A New Violet introduces an engaging blaze of pop-punk structure balanced with the elements of modern rock. The band has a unique blend of tunes with catchy hooks written with the intention to inspire others to be themselves, break out of the constructs of society, and express themselves without apology. A New Violet is a passionate creative venture for Orlando based writer, singer and guitarist Beth Vandal. The creation of the band is the culmination of several years of continued musical exploration. Vandal previously wrote and performed music with a pop-punk sound with her band Summer Day Rescue and a pop flair sound with That I AM. The band members all contribute to restoring the original intensity of punk sound, and have produced a crossover, fusing fast tempos and power chord changes with pop influenced melodies, vocal styles and lyrical themes. The Heat is Getting Hotter, their debut EP, has a message for it's listeners: watch for signs that you may need to switch things up, break out of a bad environment, but always remain true to who you are. Signed to independent record label Manic Kat Records in 2022, A New Violet has just completed their debut EP The Heat is Getting Hotter, with an expected release in the fall of 2023. A touring schedule is in the works. The band is excited to be bringing their live show to the masses starting winter of 2023.
