An eclectic blend of funk, folk-pop and straight-ahead rock with tinges of reggae and hip-hop, all are unified in this CD and at times within the same song. Bouncy rhythms and catchy melodies highlight this CD, a project of three musicians based in Philly. Funky, soulful yet pure rock and roll. PM Eaton's funky guitar work and Hendrix-like leads blaze through this effort accentuating and elevating Rob Pasko's songwriting. Hailing from Jerusalem, Eitan Brown added his lilting vocals and harmonies laced with soul yet reminiscent of The Beatles. Rob's keyboard playing adds that '60s roots rock vibe. Infectious pop as it is, perhaps Adam Kadmon is the perfect convergence of The Beatles and Earth, Wind & Fire! But underneath the music lie a variety of moods. From the tongue-in-check 'C-Thru Dress', the sarcastic 'U Don' Du Me' to the heartfelt 'Hope's Door' the songs passionately portray a relationship(s) gone awry and the myriad negative (and at times positive) emotions after it has ended. Yet Hope's Door doesn't wallow in cynicism or self-pity. The apt named title of the CD and (one of the songs) offers up the notion that hope is the means to ultimately bring us through our difficulties and lead us to redemption.
