Another Chance Live
Pastor Andre Lewis and the Supreme Voices of Faith have released a new CD, and DVD, entitled "Another Chance: Live in Two Cities." The 16-cut album contains all original songs and features a variety of artists, producers, and has a variety of music that appeals to the youngsters of the Kirk Franklin genre and the hard gospel of yesterday. Pastor Lewis, who wrote and produced the "Another Chance" project, performed the work with the famed Supreme Voices of Faith. "Live in Two Cities" was recorded in Shreveport, Louisiana and in Dallas, Texas, and is being distributed by Bi-Way Records. Lewis made his recording debut in 1986 with "I'll Fly Away" on Tiffy-Lew Records. Now 20 Years later this phenomenal musician/songwriter defies all the stereotypical concepts of gospel music with his latest project. Lewis said the concept of Another Chance is the "fact that God is so good." Lewis began his musical career at the age of nine as a percussionist for local quartets and ensembles. As a member of the Save the Youth Mass Choir, under the direction of Eunice Johnson, Lewis got his first start as a choir singer. His natural ability to sight read, play, compose and conduct soon elevated him to greater height, including organizing the Supreme Voices of Faith in 1983. In 1980, he was instrumental in forming the Bright Star Male Chorus, which achieved national acclaim. He has been inspired by and has had the opportunity to work with some of gospel music's greatest talents such as Kirk Franklin, Daryl Coley, Inez Andrews, Dorothy Norwood, Marvin Sapp and Donald Lawrence. He also had the privilege of working with Leonard Givens and the Little Rock Mass Choir. Lewis has great collaboration in producing Another Chance. Choir personnel on the album include Tiffany Franks, Andranell Watley, Tondra Camp, Sonja Collins, Shalena Stafford, Sherirea Scott, Tiffany O'Neal, Andre Langford, Lynn Marsden, Dennis Bryant, and Ta'Heisha Jackson. Some of the leading cuts on the album are "Another Chance," "A Better Place," "Lord, You're Worthy."
