Diis Aliter Visum the Gods Decided Otherwise
Artist's Bio: Andreas was born on July 22nd, in the midst of the 1967 race riots in Detroit, Michigan, to German immigrants. Both of his parents are avid fans of classical music and New Orleans style Jazz. One or the other was always playing in the background as Andreas grew up and their echoes can still be heard in his music today. Although he tried his hand at the violin and later the piano, he found his true love in 1985 when his parents allowed him to purchase his first Ibanez electric guitar with a terrible little Sears amplifier. He quickly became a fan of guitar based blues, hard rock and heavy metal. Today, Andreas works in his spare bedroom, walls covered with posters from the 1980's, surrounded by over 20 guitars, his two trusty old Ampeg amps, a rack of recording gear and two computers. He loves making music and does so whenever he can. The creation and success of his record label, HalfStackRecords.com and the completion of his two CD's (Diis Aliter Visum and Evacuation Routes) earlier this year have fulfilled a life long dream. Although proud of his work, the constant search for ways to improve and expand still drives him onward. This is good news for his listeners; it means we are sure to hear more great music from Andreas down the road.
