First of all, I'd like to thank you for your interest in my music! Recording this album was a 6-year project, spanning two home-built recording studios. It has been a labor of love, as recording and releasing my own music is the culmination of a lifelong dream. Like everything, there have been many hopes, some challenges, and lots of luck that have brought me and this project to this point. I was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and spent the majority of my years growing up in Coralville and Iowa City, Iowa. I bought my first guitar at age 10, and took lessons for over a year and enjoyed playing it through high school. I got away from playing guitar for the next 10 years, only to realize that I really missed it. Once I had moved to Illinois for my career in the airline industry, I began playing guitar again and got involved with other musicians for weekend jam sessions. I joined my first band (on bass) where we played both cover tunes and originals. We were excited to perform live at sports bars, block parties, and a summer fest. During these years, I bought my first recorder (a four-track cassette machine) so I could tape our rehearsals. This led to a deeper interest in computer digital recording, where I realized that I could finally write, record, and produce my own music. These songs are written from the heart, and the intent and lyrics of each song is either religious based or grounded upon some of my life experiences. In my younger years until the age of eight, my father was a Methodist minister. I will never forget sitting next to my mother and brother in church, looking up at my father in the pulpit while listening to his sermons. This is the inspiration where many of my lyrics originate, and is the reason this album is titled "Sunday Morning". The church on the back cover of this CD was our church in Coralville, Iowa, and is pictured at that time. Once again, I appreciate the opportunity of you listening to my music, and I hope that you enjoy it.
