Days Gone By
Angela Marseglia is a self-taught musician. She won her first acoustic guitar, at the age of 12, from a local Boston radio station Christmas Wish promotion (WRKO). Her first instrumental song was composed on that guitar. After a long hiatus from music, she returned to the folk scene in 1998 with the nudge of a good friend and fellow musician, Tom Maynard. She attended a song circle where she honed her songwriting skills. She attended Summer Acoustic Music Week (SAMW) which is sponsored by WUMB Folk Radio 91.9 Boston. She is also a member of the band, 'New England Weather,' which was originally called, 'Safety In Numbers.' She has a unique finger style on the guitar that boasts her creative melodies. Her lyrics speak through an imagery of real life with sensitive expression. Her beautiful, rich alto voice is captivating and soothing. Her first CD, Days Gone By, released in July 2000, represents memories and events of the past that anyone can relate to through their own experiences. The songs move you from contentment to a deep sense of loss.
