Anil picked up the guitar at 15 and hasn't stopped playing/writing since. Slowly but surely, he found his own style which blends traditional classic rock with an americana/folk lyrical delivery inspired by his more recent influences in the alternative-country genre. If there is one word that defines Anil's music, it is "undefined". He is constantly exploring new directions for his music but still staying true to his roots. With over 60 songs in his repertoire and constantly growing, the only thing holding Anil back is his ability to record fast enough. Anil recently released his first CD "The Hardest Thing", a truly eclectic mix of songs which represents his diverse tastes and songwriting abilities. From the lo-fi punk of "My Immobility Song" to the banjo-riddled bluegrass number "The Don't Know Blues", the record is varied in style but tied together by Anil's soulful lyrics. The album was recorded over a 4-day period of 15-hour studio sessions in Sydney, Australia last spring. Anil Nathan is truly a unique singer/songwriter. Besides, he's Indian.
