He Brought Me
In the summer of 2003, with a vision from the LORD, Archie Byers birth to Cincinnati a music ministry with members who are willing to seek the face of JESUS and follow the lead of the Holy Spirit. Remnant had it's first rehearsal in September, 2003 at the Inspirational Baptist Church. Their Coming Out Concert to the city of Cincinnati and the Nation was in November of 2003. The membership of Remnant consists of multiple denominations from Baptist to Church of God In Christ. We have a 20 plus on our roster. We have been blessed to travel to Lexington, Louisville, Indianapolis, Chicago, Baltimore, Plano, Dallas and the surrounding Tri-State area. Remnant are members of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Cincinnati Chapter. Archie Byers and Remnant has had the pleasure of singing along with National Recording Artist the late Dr. Charles Fold, Rodnie Bryant and the Christian Community Mass Choir, Nikki Ross, Patrick Lundy & The Ministers of Music, Oscar Williams and Perfected Praise, Shirley Murdock, Wanda Nero-Bulter, Malcolm Williams and others. We are coming together and exist for no other reason, but to "Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord" (Psalm 113:1). Archie Byers & Remnant released their independently produced CD on September 17, 2006 at the Lincoln Heights Baptist Church. The presence of the LORD was with us and we remembered "Thou art my God, and I will praise thee; Thou art my God, I will exalt thee. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for this mercy endureth forever." (Psalm 118: 28 -29) The vision of Archie Byers and Remnant is to remain in the center of God's Will. This is accomplished by striving to please God through faith and recognizing that the greatest part of any vision from God is faith in God. Knowing that without faith it is impossible to please him. The vision is to all God to lead us from one level of ministry to an even higher height in him. We realizing that God has total control of the destiny of this ministry and that some times he won't always give all the details of the task at hand, but he gives out information on a need to know basis. In the book of Genesis, the 12th chapter, God commands Abram "get thee out of the country from your family and from your father's house to a land that I will show you". In this verse, God doesn't tell Abram all of the details of his journey, he only tells him to go. And so it is with Archie Byers and Remnant today, as it was with Abram back then. God, himself has given us the directive to go.
