At Friendship she serves as the Church Administrative Assistant, Trustee Board Member, Public Relations Chairperson, Singles Ministry Chairperson, member of the Mass Choir Administrative Staff as well as being an ardent supporter of the ministry. Her goals are to live a Godly life that will empower this world to enrich and enhance the lives of men, women and children everywhere. Barbara began singing in church choirs at an early age. What's amazing is that many years passed before she began pursuing her music career. In 2001, Barbara was featured as one of the lead vocalist on the Friendship Christian Fellowship Mass Choir's album, "Radah" "Dominion In The Valley." She released her first maxi CD "Magnify The Lord" in November, 2003; which includes the hot urban song, ."Every Time I Look Around." Barbara began working on recording a full album in July of 2003. Being discouraged by the comments of friends and acquaintances because of her endeavor to start such a project at her age, Barbara stopped working on her album. As God would have it, Barbara was invited to a Les Brown motivational seminar that was held in Riverside, California on Father's Day, June 20, 2004. Mr. Brown presentation of "It's Possible" was so encouraging and uplifting that Barbara left with the assurance that she could do it. Barbara called her producer and told him that the project was on again. GOD CONTINUED TO BLESS! Since the seminar Barbara has written and recorded three songs that are included on her album. "How Excellent Is Thy Name." Barbara has ministered in many churches and concerts in the southern California area has been featured in articles in A Christian Place Magazine and The Gospel Truth Magazine. "Everytime I Look Around" was one of the songs on the compilation CD that was produced and circulated by the Gospel Truth Magazine. Barbara's maxi single songs, Magnify The Lord and Everytime I Look Around has been played over the airwaves on KPRO, Riverside; CA KRLA, San Bernardino; CA; KTKC, Springhill, LA; WBYE, and Monitova, AL; WHUS, Norwick, CO. Her new Album, "How Excellent Is Thy Name" which contains 12 songs, is contemporary gospel with a sense of knowledge and experience from the soul. Her music truly amplifies victory, praise, thanksgiving, and is purposed to make a life changing difference to those that might be bound, depressed, oppressed, or just in need of an uplifting of their spirits. Barbara was a featured music artist and speaker at a Les Brown Speakers Network workshop that was held at New Judah Christian Fellowship Church in Moreno Valley, California on December 12, 2004. . Her strength comes from these Godly words; "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths". Proverbs 3:5-6; and "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me". Philippians 4:13. Her sincere desire is that through this music hearts and minds will be touched and lives will be changed for the healing of the nation and the edification of all people. Barbara's prayer is that through the praise and worship expressed in this music, every changed life will become a minister proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. Always remember no matter how things may seem with God nothing is impossible. No matter what it looks like never loose hope, never give in just "Hold On" for with God; "it's possible". If you ever find yourself in sinking sand or in despair, you can rest assured that God will be there. When Daniel was in the lion's den, he trusted in the Lord and in God's own time, he rescued him. God is no respecter of person. If He did it for him, he'll do it for you. There were times in my life when I didn't know where I was going or what I was going to do, but my Lord and Savior, in His infinite wisdom guided me out of my distress; He Rescued Me. HIDE This song was inspired by the 91st division of Psalms; especially verses one, two, seven, nine, eleven, fourteen and fifteen. God's word clearly promises to hide us in the safety of his arms. We must stand on the promise of God that no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper and every tongue that rise up against you in judgment shall be condemned. MORE THAN CONQUERORS As a believer, I have found that through all the experiences I have had; whether high, low, good or bad; there is nothing more important to me than my relationship with my Savior. Therefore, I have come to the point in my life that I will not let anything separate me from God's love. I owe Him my life. EVERYTIME I LOOK AROUND Every time I look around, He keeps on blessing me. Every time I look around, He keeps on making a way for me. This song came from the true testimony of my life. Every time I was down, he lifted me up. Every time I fell down, he picked me up. I sing this song with sincere gratefulness. I am a living example that God is a way out of no way. Although we may see nothing but darkness, God is truly the light shinning at the end of the tunnel. I am so thankful that every time I look around he's always doing something good, my friend. HOLD ON 2 Peter 3:9a; "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness". We have to trust in the word of God. For God is not a man that He should lie nor the Son of man that he should have repent. What he has promised he will do, all we have to do is wait, hold on and don't let go of GOD'S PROMISES. HOW EXCELLENT IS THY NAME This song derived from one of my favorite scriptures. Psalms 8:1,3,4,5, and 6. "O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Who hast set thy glory above the heavens. When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained. What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet." Each verse of this division of Psalms reveals God's wholeness, who he is, his agape love, and the victory that he has given every believer. For that reason I will forever lift up my soul unto Him. I'M FOUND As I look back over my life and I think things over, I thank my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ for finding and saving me from a world of sin. .I'm a living witness that if you ask the Lord to come into your life and you seek him with all your heart, not only will you find him, but he will also find you. I just want to personally that my Lord and creator for the day He found me. This song is dedicated back to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as a sign of gratitude for His mercy and grace. PEACE IN THE MIDST OF A STORM Ephesians 2:14 "For He is our peace who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us'. I found God to be my peace in the midst of any storm life may bring. Though the billows may roll and the breakers may dash, I know I can hold fast to his promise that He will never leave me but guide me safely through the storm A MORE EXCELLENT WAY The best blessing that I ever received was God's love for me. It was given in a way that no man could ever give. The gift He gave me was unconditional and without bias. God's gift is not based on my looks, what I wear, the car I drive, or where I live; but it is a gift of excellence based on true agape love. Because God gives me the best He has, I desire to live in a more excellent way. MAGNIFY THE LORD In everything I say or do, I give God all the praise, I magnify the name of the Lord. God is great and He is greatly to be praised. It is not I, but it is Christ that lives in me. So I magnify Him today. I magnify Him for this album in it's entirety. He truly deserves all praise, all the glory and all the honor. I admonish you to taste and see that the Lord, he is good; Oh Magnify the Lord. HE GAVE HIS LIFE Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus paid the ultimate price for the sins of the entire world. I thank God that I now have the right to the Tree of Life. It was only because of this great sacrifice that this was possible. This song not only depicts his death and burial, but also his resurrection and the fact that we serve a risen Savior. Jesus is alive and well. He lives in me.
