A gifted songwriter, Beverley is authentic and insightful as she deals with issues that affect the human heart. Her deep love for God is evident in her songs which come from her own personal experience. Her beautiful but simple melodies and thoughtful lyrics written over many years, inspire and challenge others in thier journey of faith and love. For as long as she can remember, Beverley has loved to sing, and for close to two decades has ministered at women's conferences, retreats and other gatherings around the Lower Mainland of British Columbia as a dynamic and Spirit-filled worship leader. Her most recent musical involvement was leading a worship band for two years at a thriving Singles ministry in a large church in the Fraser Valley of BC. Last year she began to focus more on her own music, the result being her brilliant first CD, Agape, released December 15th, 2008. Beverley is a prison chaplain working in the Lower Mainland of BC. She is an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC), and has a Masters of Divinity degree (MDiv.) from Regent/Carey Theological Seminary in Vancouver, BC. Prior to seminary, Beverley spent several years at Youth With A Mission (YWAM). Her missions involvement came about after reading Keith Green's book, 'No Compromise.' Beverley's own heart for the poor and marginalized resonated so deeply with Green's book that she knew that missions was a calling of God for her in that season. During her time in YWAM, she did several short-term missions trips which took her to places such as a war zone in Albania, an orphanage in Thailand, and the Amazon jungles of Brazil. After several seasons with YWAM, Beverley came back to Vancouver and began studies at Regent College to obtain her M.Div. Degree, which she completed in 1999. She has worked in the field of chaplaincy ever since, first in hospitals and long-term care homes, and now in a prison setting as chaplain to male inmates in remand custody.
