The focus of my first album Submachines was simply to make a piece of art. It was actually an experiment in painting with sound instead of color. The album seems to truly run the gauntlet and no one seems to quite have the same opinion of it. In the creation of the earlier Submachines project, I learned how to relate feelings with sound. My newest album Home allowed me to take a much different approach. Even though the creation Submachines was a good learning experience, I didn't feel like I could just pick up a guitar and go play this studio-stacked-electronics album live. In this modern digital age of constant and frenetic e-mail, MySpace, Facebook, and text messaging, there remains a large market for that which is tactile and truly human in it's connection. My new album Home let's me feel that connection and I offer it as my musical warmth for others to enjoy with their own feelings of home.
