Natural Signs: Wildfires
Blackring is a hip hop trio comprised of lyricists JingoBa AbeamAlight and Juskwam with production by Dubla. Blackring is symbol of unity, a concept that has fallen by the wayside in much of today's music and culture, particularly in hip hop. Blackring strives to impart a message of solidarity among the hip hop community and all who follow in the tradition of good music. Some aficionados create or partake in hip hop culture for entertainment. Few artists like JingoBa, Juskwam and Dubla actually live hip-hop culture as faithful disciples; using art and music to communicate to people on a spiritual, empowering level. Juskwam is a prolific emcee born in Nashville, TN, and raised in Houston, TX in an era when hip hop was in it's formative and early expansion stages. Juskwam has been developing his emcee craft, recording and performing in front of audiences since 1990. JingoBa, a lyricist, producer, recording artists and avid poet, has been active on the grassroots level gripping the mic since back in the day. He's been featured on underground CD's tapes and vinyl since 1995 in New York, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Illinois and Louisiana. Dubla is the the chief producer and founder of Dubla Music. He produces, mixes and engineers most of the music heard on Blackring and Dubla Music projects. He has a vast musical ear stemming from his well-rounded and cultured history. He has been studying music since the age of 4 and has no limitations on his musical influence. Dubla now hails from New Orleans but spent much of his life in Brooklyn and New York City. He has also lived in Philadelphia, PA, Knoxville, TN and was born in Mobile, AL. Blackring is produced by Dubla Music (pronounced duhb-uhl-ey) - a multinational production company based in New Orleans, LA that proves creativity knows no borders. This innovative organization promotes and uplifts culture through diverse musical projects and collaboration with artists across all genre and media.
