Blake Berglund & Kennedy Rodeo
Blake Berglund has completed his self titled, debut album. As a primary songwriter and lead singer of Canadian Rock Act; "The New Weapon," Berglund focuses his abilities in the styles of Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash resulting in an honest and unique representation of witty stories and heart-wrenching experiences. Hailing from Saskatchewan's South East Corner, Berglund pays homage through his collective group of musicians whom record and perform under the title of "Kennedy Rodeo." With the release of the new album, an anticipated live show follows in support. Berglund has an extensive history of touring and playing live. From performing with Canadian Folk legend; Valdy, to sharing the stage with "heavy-weight" acts such as Theory of a Deadman and Emerson Drive, Berglund takes advantage of his "up and coming" status to deliver true professionalism and dedication to his craft. As a contender in the 2005 Molson Canadian Rock Search and finishing an impressive top ten national slot; Berglund analyzes the formula to underground success and applies it to a fresh project in a similar attempt towards national recognition by "giving an audience a familiar sound that they've never heard before." With Their "band of brothers" image, Blake Berglund and Kennedy Rodeo deliver an energetic yet personal vibe through to their listeners. By displaying their rock and roll, grunge, and outlaw influences they create an atmosphere of attraction from the young and mature. Their full scale live performance is a perfect compliment to the acoustic, song oriented renditions on the debut.
