Blazen Swird, born in the rural hills of eastern Jamaica;and is now residing in Florida USA,is a Jamaican Reggae Artist from the Eighties era.He delivers a mean series of Reggae Rocks, with a blend of Spiritual and Folk songs.Although his songs have an old time Beat; they, nonetheless, soothe the souls of present-day,listeners. He fell in love with reggae music, after migrating to Kingston (Rockfort);for the purpose of attending High School,Tutorial College (then situated in waltham Park). It was this mix of environment, that had him exposed to some of the top sound systems such as King Tubby's from the West of Kingston;Arrows in the East;and Tipper Tone in Central Kingston. For those who remember these Bastions of the Dance Hall, this Artist will certainly add to those memories. Probably hanging out in the early days at Bob Marley's very first record store Tuff Gong (Beeston Street);Derrick Harriot's(Orange Street)and Studios like Tuff Gong; Dynamics;and Channel One;might have helped to carve his unique style.Like the brother said in one song 'Hold on to what you've got'
