New York to London
The Breaks craft their pop missives in the tranquil burg of Pittsboro, NC; a stone's throw from Chapel Hill, where the bulk of the band plied their trade throughout the 80's and 90's. The music leans heavily toward the "New Wave" and "Power Pop" sounds of the late 70's and early 80's, veering from the hook-laden crunch of "Hott Stuff" to the dreamy shimmer of "Hotel Rockefeller". The immaculate assault of guitarist Steve Carr forms the primary layer of Breaks music, propelled by the nimble rhythms of bassist Traywick Batson and batterist Brunson Hoole. Keyboards player Tracy McInturff is the magic ingredient that fuses the elements into a sonic cream, wherein voxman John Ensslin romps for your delight. NEW YORK TO LONDON was crafted in the spring of 2005, and lovingly captured at Vista Point by Mike Nicholson. Enjoy NEW YORK TO LONDON with family and friends.
