Stack of Fears
The electrifying sounds of BRENN have been captivating the Nashville music scene for over a year, being described by local critics as a \'breath of fresh air\'. Their sounds can take you from a dreamy trance, to straight up dance rock...always leaving the question \'what\'s next?" BRENN has been touring regionally as far north as New York City and Columbus, Ohio to the southern cities of New Orleans and Austin. They have been featured on TV shows, Morning shows, and Documentaries from notables such as FOX, NBC, and MTV. Fox\'s Fearless Music TV described them as \'one of the most original acts\' on their show, while NBC\'s The 10! Show noted them as a \'future household name\'. BRENN is made up of four college friends who currently live in Nashville, but whose roots go as far back as the late 90\'s. Even though music was always talked about, the actual formation of BRENN was held off until the end of their college years in 2006. Having played in the Chattanooga area for roughly a year, the quartet came to Nashville in 2007 to work on their first EP \'Come Back to Aria\' and decided to stay in town. Currently, BRENN is working on a much-anticipated new EP, which will be released October 2008. With their influences ranging from atmospheric dream rock such as M83 and Sigur Ros, to the Brit-Pop of U2, Radiohead, and Muse, the upcoming EP and live performance stylings are sure to prove a lush melodic sound all their own. "With lush keyboards, soaring vocals, and atmospheric electrics, Brenn is stealing the attention of the Nashville music scene and the hearts of each new listener." Adam Sherrett, Nylon Magazine, NYC 2006 \'Brenn has a distinct pop rock sound that is sure to please the ears.\' Fox's Fearless Music Television "Contagious sound, first-rate songs, and great to work with..they certainly have what it takes to become a household name." Jami Osiecki, NBC talent buyer \'While there\'s currently a heavy dose of energetic \'sugar high\' rock music coming out of middle Tennessee, most of this music will last about as long as the sugar high that fuels it. Brenn, however, is creating music that has depth and longevity\' Vincent Wynne, listennashville.com "Atmospheric pop-rock, a-la U2...very intimate." Taxi \'Fireworks. That\'s what Brenn reminds me of...enigmatic, intense and provocative - not your everyday bottle rocket or sparkler - but rather a pyrotechnics dream of spirals, comets, bursts and crackles.\' Jill Garett, nashvillerock.net.
