* DON'T PASS US BY, WE'RE NOT WRITING LULLABY'S* WE'RE THE BRYAN MICHENER BAND! The Bryan Michener Band is proud to announce the release of their debut full length album, Current Emergency. Formed in Taunton Ma. in June 2005, it was originally started as a solo project for front man and principal writer Bryan Michener . A former drummer for the local Taunton band The Bind, he left in early 2005 to pursue the piano full time and start his side project. The mission is to prove that music with a piano doesn't have to put you to sleep. It can still accomplish a wide range feelings and emotions without losing it's back bone and rock integrity, something this band is intent is on proving. We're not trying to fool anybody but the right people with the right attitude can make good music that's catchy and eclectic. Bryan began rehearsing with drummer George Medeirios, who also plays in the cover band Dead Mans Hand and his long time friend and The Bind bassist Lucas Hunton. They then began recording Current Emergency in September 2005 at Aftershock Recording Studio in Taunton, Ma. In comes Matt Eveline, introduce to Bryan through Matt's uncle, they had met once prior to recording the guitar tracks. Matt has played for years with may local musicians, so, his input would prove very important to the overall sound of Current Emergency. Bryan and Matt then went on completing the recording for the next 2 months, finishing in March 2006. With everyone impressed with the new sound it was evident then that this was also going to be the gigging band. And so, for a bunch very different musicians who had for the most part, never played with each other the album was completed and released in May 2006 under the new band name The Bryan Michener Band. It was pretty obvious at the end of recording this was no longer Bryan's solo project, but something much bigger and better than he had hope, a full fledged working band with everyone's influence. What's up next? Gigging. The Bryan Michener Band hopes to spend the rest of the summer and fall out promoting the new album before returning to the studio to start their second album. THANK YOU FOR ANY SUPPORT, BRYAN.
