Product Notes

Young Barnes is nicknamed "Burn 'Em Up" because of his love for fast driving. Both on the racetrack and on the street Barnes has a need for speed. With little interest in business, he gets into an argument one day with his millionaire car manufacturer father. He leaves home but almost immediately is robbed by a gang of thugs who steal his clothes and leave him unconscious in a freight car. When he finally comes to he is comforted by two tramps who take him in as one of their own. The three of them land in a small town where Barnes falls in love with the daughter of a bank president. This comedy stars Johnny Hines, a popular comedic actor and leading man during the 1920s. The film was remade as both a feature and a serial in 1934.
