Native American Flute
C "BUZZ" BUZZARD has had a long history in the entertainment experience. He worked for National Broadcasting Company in the Hollywood and Burbank Studios, on two Broadway plays, built and managed three radio stations. His travels have taken him to every Indian reservation in Arizona and New Mexico. He has made over 100 presentations for the Heard Museum and Pueblo Grand Museums in Phoenix, He has worked on a number of archeological projects and attuned many Native American ceremonies and Pow-Pows. He has studied flute playing with R.Carlos Nakai, Ken Light, Cara Holtz, Butch Hall John Sananos and Robert Gatliff. He participated in the International Native American Flute conventions in Taos, NM and California, Flower Mound Flute retreats in Texas, and Renaissance of the Native American Flute. Besides playing at many location in the United States he has played in Kazakhsatan, Bolivia and Nigeria. Almost all the songs are written by him to reflect the feeling of being at peace with himself and the world around him. He has been a National Park Ranger at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, AZ., and at Petroglyphs National Monuments, NM. At one time his personal collection of Native American Artifacts was over 800 pieces, which included Prehistoric Pottery, baskets, Jewelry, and many other items. Currently his Native American Flute collection represents 12 different flute makers, plus Bolivian, and Turkey flutes.
