However, it was their breakout mixtape, Over the Threshold (2023), which caught the attention of the wider world and Pendulum's Gareth McGrillen, who sent them a message via their Instagram profile. When McGrillen invited the band to dinner and to visit Metropolis Studio in London, a friendship blossomed. He wrote two songs with the band that would appear on the new record.
