Weatherman in the Missle Age
Cavu is the creation of Ken and Peggie Balcom. These two young songwriters met one Sunday morning and that Thursday evening they began working together - arranging, writing, and performing new music. Over the years, with the input of many fine musicians, these two have created a truly unique sound and repertoire that is as timely as it is timeless. It is modern music with traditional roots - often hard to label with the unusual instrumentation. This album features Ken's rhythmic acoustic guitar style, with Ken and Peggie sharing lead vocals and creating rich harmonies. They are joined by Angela Edens on backing vocals, keyboard and penny whistle with Jimmy Banister on hand percussion and kit drums and Gerry Cassidy on bass. 'Cavu' is an acronym used in aeronautics that means 'Ceiling and Visibility Unlimited'. It is clear air music.
