Choral Arts Ensemble has been inspiring audiences throughout southeast Minnesota with performances of outstanding choral music since 1985. The singers of CAE are active community members from a wide variety of professions, including teachers, farmers, doctors, bankers, computer technicians and church leaders, all drawn together to create excellent music and contribute to the artistically thriving life in and around Rochester. Now entering it's twenty-fourth season, the fifth under the artistic direction of Michael Culloton, Choral Arts Ensemble will continue to celebrate music's power to delight and inspire with performances throughout the region. CAE will also maintain it's commitment to music from all genres and historical eras and will especially support the creation of new music through it's active commissioning program. Among other outreach projects, Choral Arts Ensemble produces The Rosemary and Meredith Willson Harmony for Mayo Program, a program of the Mayo Center for Humanities in Medicine. Free weekly concerts are held Mondays from 12:10-1:00 pm on the Mayo Clinic campus, featuring a variety of music ranging from classical to bluegrass. Concerts are open to patients, staff, visitors and the general public.
