Hot Summer Day
Chris's music career began in 1989 with the funk-alterna-rock band White Trash. Landing a two-record deal with Electra, White Trash launched a music video on MTV's 'Buzz Bin' and toured the US playing to sold out crowds. But having enough of the glam life, in 1992 Chris situated himself in NYC's commercial music industry and is now Head of Production at WAX Music & Sound Design. Chris' first solo album Hot Summer Day is an album about procreation, literally and figuratively. It's literal side is in evidence with the song "Picture," inspired by the excitement and disappointment and then excitement again of the in-vitro fertilization process, trying to get pregnant with his wife. The album was written during that process, culminating with the birth of their twins. And any father will tell you, there's nothing like the birth of your first and second child, to fill you with a renewed sense of wonder about the world. This album is about looking at your world -- your town, your family, and your country -- with that new set of eyes that giving birth can bestow upon a person. Every day provides us with an opportunity to produce something new -- a new hook, a new song, a new life. This album is for Chris's new twins, truly the driving force behind this album, who took the world and made it better.
