It's Still Amazing Grace
Denny Garner has been a musician/performer since 1960, his Junior year in high school. During that first year and group (The Westcoasters) there were two songs recorded, one for Dot and one for Decca Records which aired locally in Kansas City. These two records featured Denny on the Sax. The next group Denny was with (The Classmen), recorded three songs that had good response locally in Kansas City, 'Julie' in 1967 which reached #3 in KC, 'Michaelangelo' in 1968 reaching #20, and 'Graduation Goodbye' in 1969 reaching #18, and becoming a well-known graduation salute used by radio station WHB for several years to honor graduating seniors. The group was recently inducted into the Kansas Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Lawrence, Kansas in March of 2008. Denny worked in various bands for several years, playing the bar circuits in KC and Atlanta, Ga. He continued writing songs, recording some in studios, but with little commercial success. In 1985, he rededicated himself to Jesus Christ and began a ministry in Christian Worship and Contemporary Christian pop music. He has performed on major church worship teams and with worship leaders such as Stephanie Boosahda and Kevin Prosch. Denny performed with the Contmporary Christian group Temple City for several years, as they played for 'National Day of Prayer' gatherings, Christian coffee shops, and churches. He has spent the last two-and-a-half decades writing and performing songs the Lord has given him, and has recorded these songs for the enjoyment and uplifting of any who will listen. Joined by his wife, Chris, and daughter, Erin Kramer, the music flows and harmonies ring as only a family can sound. We hope you will enjoy and be blessed by these songs, especially the lyrics.
