Christine Sheil Salhany is a classically trained flutist having earned a Bachelors degree in Music Performance. A few of her teachers include Barbara Leibundguth (Minnesota Symphony), Julia Bogorad (St. Paul Chamber Orchestra) Ervin Monroe (Detroit Symphony). For the past 25 years Christine has contributed both vocal and flute talents as a music minister within the Catholic Church and freelance soloist in the community of Omaha, Nebraska. For the past several years she has been a student of Alexandra Hunt (renowned opera singer of the Metropolitan Opera, New York City and La Scala) and has put her studies to practical use by singing in recital, rarely heard art songs of the 19th and 20th centuries. She is currently cantor and director of the children's choir at Girls and Boys Town, Omaha, Nebraska. Most recently Christine has produced 2 Sacred CD'S: In Paradisum and O Magnum Mysterium. These CD's contain traditional, contemporary and well known spiritual Hymns for prayer and meditation.
