'...A band with strong lyric and music writing talents...this effort by CHRISTOPHER SLY is well worth a listen!' ---Mike Allen, Edge Magazine 'The Album sounds fantastic!!!' ---Rick Dees, National DJ 'In the not too distant future, the music industry--and subsequently the world--suffered a major catastrophe...' from 'The Legend of Christopher Sly' CHRISTOPHER SLY was founded by brothers Chuck and Jim Tedder in 1985 as a top 40 cover band on the campus of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina . After the first incarnation ended and the band went their separate ways, Chuck and Jim reformed the band in 1992 in Atlanta Georgia as an all original theatrical rock show inspired by the arena rock super groups of the 70s & 80s classic rock era; a show intended for the stage and not to be missed in the live setting. See Sly Live! Final lineup included Jim Tedder on Lead Vocals, Guitars, Keys and (bass in studio), Chuck Tedder on drums and BG Vocals, Carlos Baez on Lead Guitars and BG Vocals, Larry Germain on Bass and BG Vocals and Denise Hillis-Tedder on BG Vocals. The concept below is taken from 'The Legend of Christopher Sly:' 'In the not too distant future, just beyond the turn of the century, the music industry---and subsequently the world-suffered a major catastrophe. With the extinction of vinyl and consumer record stores, all music had been digitized and sent out directly to the public through the ever-growing information highway. Technology was expanding at an astounding rate. Mistakes were bound to be made... Were made. Overly confident, and leaving a top-selling soft drink near the control panel, a young programmer accidentally damaged important equipment responsible for the imprinting and distribution of all known 20th century music. Any existing remains of this popular form of entertainment were eventually wiped out by a devastating virus. Desperate to reclaim this lost piece of history, scientists called upon a little-known group of time travelers known collectively as Christopher Sly. Vowing to return to an era of musical greatness and to bring it back into the future, Christopher Sly set off on their adventure. Travelling back through time to the year 1594 and using that as a springboard, they hurtled forward to the 20th century collecting bits and pieces of past eras along the way. As they approached the eighth decade, a wealth of pop and rock gems were discovered. And so it begins...' Enjoy the music. Experience the Passion. And if at all possible...See Sly Live!
