Beyond the Veil
Chuck Elmore is a singer/songwriter who plays guitar (most of the time), bass (some of the time), and drums (when marking time). He was born in Texas in the early 70's to parents who told Chuck plenty that Jesus loved him. A parental decision to prohibit Chuck, his big sis Delena, and his kid bro Clark from watching TV during childhood resulted in a fascination with and love of music. Dad got him interested in listening to music deeply, Mom got him started on guitar, and sis got him to sing in public. Chuck started writing songs and playing live in college, and has recorded several independent solo projects since then. Lyrically, the themes of Chuck's music focus on the grace of God, the new identity of His children, the rest they find in the finished work of Jesus, and the power they have in His Spirit. Musically, Chuck writes what he likes to listen to...melodic, guitar-driven pop and rock with a liberal amount of harmonies and textured, ambient arrangements. Chuck spends his working hours teaching music and media arts to high school students, and ministering to youth at New Life City, the church he attends in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He spends his precious few free hours with his fantastic wife Becky and their three beautiful daughters.
