Cliff Thatcher grew up in the upper Midwest crawling around under the piano before he could play on it. Today he has the same Steinway his Dad was given by his Father back in the 1930s. Starting lessons at an early age, he first learned the classics, then grew to enjoy jazz, blues and the ballads from the 40s, 50s and 60s, which he developed an easy style to listen to. While traveling for his 9 to 5 job as a sales rep for a national sign manufacturer, he will stop at retirement homes across the country and play for the residents. When at home, Cliff occassionally plays for his Church, where his love of Gospel music blossomed. He will also swing by one of the local restaurants to sit down at the piano for a spell. He hopes to purchase a new piano for his Church, not only for his own enjoyment of providing music for worship, but for the many gifted young people who attend People's Congregational Church in Bayport, MN.
