Change of the Season
Songwriters Matt McDevitt and Jon Welsford began their musical careers during their senior year at a suburban high school northeast of Philadelphia. After discovering their common passions for music, Jon joined the band Matt was in. They began songwriting together and quickly developed the chemistry needed to share creative control of the songs. Over the next several years they moved in and out of indie-rock bands together, writing and recording songs as a whole band effort. Although they enjoyed the music they were producing, they continued to write songs on the side, just the two of them. These songs represented the "pop" side of their songwriting. With a strong desire to return to the days where they had complete creative control, they entered the studio in 2008 to record their songs as a side project they called Coastline at Dawn. The result is the release of their first album Change of the Season.
