Conor Mulroy's first release Salinger was recorded on January 6, 2009 with John McGann on guitar, Tristan Clarridge on fiddle, and Corey DiMario on double bass. It begins with the 30 minute piece Salinger broken up into 3 movements with the classic bluegrass instrumentation of mandolin, fiddle, guitar and bass. The second piece, The Sleeping Indian, begins with nylon string guitar, steel string guitar, fiddle, and double bass, and ends with a 13 minute piece on solo classical guitar. The CD ends with a short piece on solo piano. It is all original music written by Conor Mulroy which draws from bluegrass, jazz, celtic, world, and avant-garde influences.
