Hell of a World
Corrupt the Righteous was founded by vocalist Darrin Wong, guitarist Mike Simpson, and drummer Chad Peters in 2003. Bassist Jerry Wright later joined the band to assist in constructing the dark power-groove which has since become the band's signature element. A strong sense of unity, discipline, and raw talent is deeply instilled in the four close friends who naturally became brothers in music. The band's sound comes from some of their heavy influences like Pantera, Lamb of God, and White Zombie. While holding on to their musical roots, CTR also experiments with a newer, unorthodox approach to songwriting. Their live performance has a very tightly rehearsed and intense quality. This attracts and enthralls audiences of every musical persuasion. All the music is composed and written by Corrupt the Righteous. The subjects range from life experiences and struggles to sexual encounters, making the band a reflection of reality rather than an exaggeration. Their maniacal presence brings each song's subject matter to life. The band members' lives revolve around music, without it they would be lost. Due to their musical dedication they evolve as performers and songwriters. Mistakes and techniques are discussed and improved. Their goal, as a band, is to make the best music that they can. This family of musicians plans to venture into a lucrative career in music and arise as the next dominant force in American heavy metal.
