The album was recorded analog using an old 4-track recorder, and we recorded it live, doing as many takes of the song as needed to record it to the best of our abilities. Pure DIY, attic recording, until the mastering, but no special effects were added there. For better or worse, if you were sitting on an old chair or couch, wiping sweat from your brow after climbing two floors to the unfinished attic of an old 1890 Victorian house in Columbus, Ohio in the summer of 2008, this is what you would have heard. We were a group of four unique friends who tried to make music and put this album together as best we could. Some of us went to Ohio State or taught there, and all of us are from the Midwest or East originally: Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York. As a band, we practiced in garages and attics more than we ever played live shows, but back in the day when these businesses still existed in Columbus, we played The Northberg Tavern, Larry's, Cafe Bourbon Street, Andyman's Treehouse, Oldfield's on 4th and also on High Stree, and Comfest. Our lives, feelings, and stories are in this project. We hope you will enjoy it.
