Take Me Back
Take Me Back was a demo project that I started in January of 2000. My original intention was to go into the studio for a weekend with some friends and see what we came out with. That's pretty much how it went down, except that the one weekend turned into about 9 months. To be fair, the actual recording was mostly finished that weekend. Instead of trying to sell you the CD, I thought I'd tell you a little about the songs: 1. We Sing - I wrote it for my church 2. Maybe - Written for a girl I had one date with the year before. 3. Watertown - A town in Wisconsin where I attended college for a year...lot's of corn! 4. I Believe - This was my take on the testimony of Cassie Bernall, who died at Columbine High School the year before. 5. Take Me Back - My attempt at writing a campfire song. 6. Mark's Slumber Serenade - If you snore, NEVER fall asleep in a recording studio!!!! 7. With the Sun - The closest that I have come to writing a hymn - got to play hammered dulcimer on it too! 8. God of the Fatherless - This is the 'hidden track' - don't tell anyone! That's about it - enjoy!! Dan.
