Liner notes: I chose Traveling Home as the title for this album because it has come to represent life on the road these last 10 years. I always seem to be traveling home from somewhere, but at the same time always in a traveling home (currently a 29', 1991 Airstream trailer) so I am always home when traveling as in traveling, home. I have even had the benefit over the last 5 years, of having my wife, The Lovely Miss Jennifer, traveling and playing music with me making it all the more home on the road. As I approach age 50, it seems like time to record a new album to represent this point in my journey. The tunes come from many different sources and by now have taken on my own interpretation of how they are played. For that reason I have not referenced a specific version or source for each of these tunes. Music has become my entire life - something I could not have foreseen when I started playing as a child. Some may say I have become a keeper of the music, but it is actually you, the listeners and members of the music community that are the true keepers of the music. I only hope you enjoy this collection of tunes and continue to help spread them wherever you go. It is the music that makes a community and the community that makes it music. Special thanks goes to Bob Carlin, my producer and an early influence on my playing. This project would not be what it is without his help. And to my wife, Jennifer, I surely could not have done this project without your encouragement and support.
