Dan O'Sullivan has played guitar professionally for 20 years in an uncountable number of bands of many genres including jazz, reggae, rock, funk/R+B, folk, orchestral, and big band. For most of those years he was someone bands would call when they needed someone who could sight-read and/or learn tunes quickly, play great guitar solos, and sing a few tunes. He has performed throughout the Southwest United States, China, Korea, Mexico and Spain. In recent years Dan has passed on all but a few freelance projects and has instead been writing, recording and performing his own music and his own versions of his favorite songs by other artists. He performs several times a week in Southern California with just his acoustic guitar and a looping station (a device enabling him to play a few live guitar parts simultaneously and thus have more of a jam aspect to his solo acoustic performances). His music is often compared to James Taylor, Mark Knofler, Jack Johnson, and Eric Clapton, and Harry Connick Jr.
