Breaking the Surface
Dan Weltman is originally from New Jersey. He learned to play guitar and went to school in L.A.,where he lived in a dive just off the Boulevard in Hollywood. Many life lessons later that road lead to a band called Sweet Daddy Redd down in Austin Texas, where he learned a lot about playing and performing. Then traveled all over the country with a band called M.C. Overlord. He helped collaberate with some of the areas finest musicians, but still felt a lack of fulfillment. The void was filled when he moved back to New Jersey, where singing became more of his instrument. He did many solo gigs and had a lot of original songs. It still seemed to need some other influence. So the call went a guy by the name of Jason Jack that Dan met in Austin Texas. Jason decided to give the east coast a shot and they finished an album that deserves a listen. The album is called 'breaking the surface' and it was recorded at Joe DeMaio's Shorefire Recording studio with an extremely talented producer by the name of J3.
