Daniel DeAguero, smooth jazz guitarist and songwriter is best known for his unique blend of fluid guitar solos and latin rhythms. With over three decades as a recording artist, Daniel has recorded eight albums - Four Latin albums and four Jazz albums. DeAguero's "Lo Sabes" album received the Critic's Choice Award from Billboard Magazine. Chosen as the "Critic's Choice" in the August 10, 1998 Reviews & Previews section (page 40), John Lannert writes... "A passionate guitarist with an appealing feather-soft baritone, DeAguero purveys a smart brand of jazz-tinged Latino pop suitable for progressive Spanish pop stations as well asl open-minded US AC outlets. Leisurely paced title track - Lo Sabes - is a pleasant, straight-up, pop ballad duet with Ashleigh Metcalf Jordan..." Over the years, Daniel has written and produced a number of projects for other indie artists and collaborated with a number of well-known artists including Richard Kremode - Santana & MALO, Jock Bartley - Firefall, Dwight Beaumont - Flash Cadillac, Dave Innis - Restless Heart, Louie Shelton and well-known Denver musicians Bobby Trujillo, Albert King & Phil Urso. In 1998, Daniel produced a live album for MALO entitled MALO ROCKS THE ROCKIES, during Malo's 25th anniversary tour. A book called VOICES OF LATIN ROCK written by Jim McCarthy with Ron Sansoe, chronicles the top Latin Rock bands of the 70's, includes describes MALO ROCKS THE ROCKIES on page 247. Jazz Recordings by Daniel Deaguero.... Night Groove, recorded in the late 80's and early 90's and released in 1993, was a Daniel's first contemporary jazz project. Night Groove features both guitar and sax solos in an interesting blend of contemporary jazz and fusion set to Latin rhythms. Airborne, recorded in 1995, is a smoother Latin Jazz instrumental collection, release in 1996. Various tracks feature guitar, sax and piano solos. Colorado Sunset, recorded in the late 90's and released in 2001, is an instrumental smooth jazz collection sure to please. This project is a bit of a departure from the last two Latin jazz projects, featuring a nice blend of romantic ballads and radio-friendly smooth jazz instrumentals. Pop-Spanish Recordings by Daniel DeAguero AMOR, recorded in the late 80's and released in 1990. Amor is a pop-latin project. VUELVEME A QUERER, also recorded in the late 80's and released in 1992, is a Latin jazz project. LO SABES is a Pop Latin CD released in 1996, with pop, rock, salsa and Jazz influences. Special guest musicians included former Santana, Malo, Patty Labelle and Janis Joplin keyboardist, Richard Kermode, and Jock Bartley of Firefall. Music Videos were produced for two cuts, "Lo Sabes" and "Caliente". TE LO PROMETO, released in 1998, is a collection is bilingual. Spanish-language tunes are New Mexico-style Rancheras. English-language tunes are Country-style.
