House on Solid Rock
I was raised in a good Christian home and came to know the Lord at age 10. My dad use to play lead guitar with Ray Thompson's Band (Hank Thompson's brother). I began playing drums in 1964 at the age of 13 and was taught the guitar by my baby brother Bob. He was only 5 years old. I wrote my first song at age 13 'Train to Glory' and played my first professional gig playing drums with a black man named Eddie Burns from Abilene,Tx. I played with a couple of other Rock & Roll bands during my High School days until graduating in 1969. I got married in 1971, and served in the USAF from 1972-75. I went back to playing drums in my brother's Country band until God got me out of the honky tonk lifestyle in 1985, and called me to preach. I was Ordained in 1987. Lost my health in 1997 and was forced to quit my job of 21 years. God made it possible to get my album recorded in 1997 on cassettes, and redone in 2008 to CDs. I write the music God has given to me with a '50s and '60s rock beat to reach the kids, but I have found the young at heart loves them too! I hope and pray you will enjoy the music God has given me to write and they will be a blessing to you!
