Fate & Stitches
Born and bred in Chicago, Dave Barrett cut his teeth in midwestern clubs and colleges in the late '90s as a member of the Big Babies. Although they focused largely on cover songs, Barrett took every opportunity to work in his original material. By the band's demise in 2000, Barrett penned tunes Boston Cream and Upon the Sleep which had become fan favorites. Wasting no time, Barrett began writing and recording material his new CD, Fate and Stitches. Barrett's music reflects the richly diverse influences of the American Midwest. 'From all my travels, Chicago is still home and has some great writers and singers. I learned my craft from them,' says Barrett.
