David's new album, Walker in Babylon, shakes your ass this winter. Check out DavidReiser.com for deets. David Reiser was born and bred in Tallahassee, FL, growing up with the sounds of Boyz II Men, Bell Biv Devoe, and Outkast. Then Mom and Dad put The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Harry Chapin, and the entire American Musical Theatre catalog his head. In college, he found musical and lyrical inspiration from such greats as Ben Folds, David Wilcox, Martin Sexton, and Jason Mraz, all of whom greatly influenced David's first album. These days David is being influenced by such artists as The Flaming Lips, Deathcab for Cutie, and Rufus Wainwright. Living (barely!) as an actor in New York City and having just finished his Masters in Music, David feels fortuante to have his brain stretched in many directions by the likes of Day, Lippa, Wagner, and Weill. David recorded Storytellers Ball, his first full length original album, in the autumn of 2004. With 14 original songs ranging in style from folk to hip-hop to rock, Storytellers Ball is sure to please your ears and squeeze your fears. After a long hiatus, DavidReiser.com is back on the simplicity tip (David couldn't keep up with himself there for a while). So you can snag the album here, digitalize it on iTunes, or go to DavidReiser.com for concert dates and details on what's upcoming, like the new album - Walker In Babylon - coming out in the fall. If you've read this far, David is impressed and he thanks you. This obviously was not written by me. I mean, him.
