Wake Me Shake Me
According to the Houston Chronicle, 'Deanna Julian displays vivacity, charm, and a bright vocal style.' She brings a commanding presence and powerhouse vocals to stages across the world. Staying busy and well traveled as a resident guest artist with Princess Cruises, Deanna splits her time on land between Manhattan and her home state of Texas. Besides completing her debut album, 'Wake Me, Shake Me' with Green Zebra Records, she is also a lead singer for the Houston based rock and roll band, P.F. and the Flyers. Not only a versatile singer, but an actor as well, Ms. Julian is a company member of the New Jersey Repertory Theatre in Long Branch and a proud member of the Actor's Equity Association. Among her extensive stage credits are Theatre Under the Stars with Tony Award winner Leslie Uggams and Broadway veteran Ken Page, Stages Repertory, and the prestigious Alley Theatre. Some favorite past roles include Rusty in Footloose, Angel in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Rapunzel in Into The Woods, Emma Carew in Jekyll & Hyde, Judy Denmark and Ginger DelMarco in Ruthless!, The Spiderwoman in Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Cunegonde in Candide, and Annie Oakley in Annie Get Your Gun. She has been a featured soloist in the Houston Pride Cabaret, and has performed with Bayou City Concert Musicals. She can also be heard as the voice of Pandaba in the 'Hello Kitty' animated series. Deanna holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Hardin Simmons University where she was a founding member of the Spurs competition dance team and sang with the World Famous Cowboy Band.
