My oldest sister tells me that, when I was three, I climbed on to our piano bench and picked out Silent Night, with one finger. I began taking piano lessons at age five, and studied for most of my school years. I have had the joy of playing for many wonderful singers, including Julie Andrews at an organization for the blind, when I was a teenager. I have been a director for four musicals. For one of them I was nominated as a runner up for best musical director of the year. I have played at Don't Tell Mama in New York, opened for Holly Near at a national convention for women, and played for choral groups as well as solo artists. I have played in Atlanta for a cabaret show, and currently accompany musical theater classes at a local junior college as well as solo performances during the year. .
