To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Maurice Ravel, historic recordings of Ravel's works by Herbert von Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic from the analog era are being released for the first time on SACD single layer. Featuring the original LP coupling and a green label coat, this edition presents the Berlin Philharmonic's legendary precision and depth, approaching the essence of each composition. The DSD master was produced in 2025 at Emil Berliner Studios from the original master tapes. Recorded in March 1964 in Berlin, these performances capture Karajan and his orchestra at their finest.
