For God & Country
When the terrorists attacked on September 11, 2001, DeClare and her husband, a Navy veteran, were planning their wedding in a rural community in Illinois. They included prayers for the heroes of 9/11 in their nuptial ceremony on October 5th. On the way back to the East Coast, where she directed a Veterans Community Outreach Center, DeClare wrote the lyrics to 'Let's Roll,' on a paper placemat in a diner in Pennsylvania near the crash of United 93. When she completed the song, she played it for Dr. Victor Wahby, the founder and director of the VA-National Medical Musical Group, a chorale and symphony orchestra that performs Flag Day concerts on Capitol Hill and Veterans Day concerts throughout the country and overseas. Dr. Wahby liked her music so much that he has featured DeClare as a soloist, most recently with 'Heroes In Our Hearts,' broadcast from the Pentagon last Valentine's Day. This album is dedicated to the heroes of 9/11 and all those who continue to fight the global war on terrorism, praying for God's help and protection. God Bless, DeClare.
